Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 titles have been earned on hardcourt

A resurgent the Russian player won his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament championship match.

The athlete, a ex- number one, has endured a torrid season, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the US Open.

The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in especial - resulted in him falling of the top ten and finally separating with long-time mentor Gilles Cervara.

Presently training with his coach and Goetzke, he has steadily progressed in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought competitive victory over challenger Corentin Moutet.

This marks the player's initial championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court from March of 2023.

Success also means the Russian has secured 21 championships at twenty-one various events.

"It's the first time I'm at a event with my both daughters at once, so to get a championship is really nice," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.

"This championship is in tribute of my child my daughter, because the first title I won when my older daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."

Medvedev, the former major winner, had failed in his previous six title deciders, including in Halle in the past months.

Medvedev's retrieving strategy and recurring emotional displays on court had caused observers to doubt if his skill to perform at the top level was finished.

However the 29-year-old has made changes in the past month, making an effort to come to the net and compete aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced service.

Medvedev fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the tricky Moutet, securing 4 of the final five exchanges to take the lead.

Both players swapped service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his initial tour title, gained dominance to force a third set.

The opponent rescued four early-game opportunities in a close third set before the champion broke to 15 to serve for the match.

Fittingly, Medvedev earned victory with a point at the front of the court, with Moutet unable to handle a volley after a lengthy match.
